Pricing
Purchases are priced at the LBMA Gold Price or LBMA Silver Price (AM or PM, as specified in the purchase contract), in US dollars per troy ounce, less a discount agreed in writing before shipment.
Payable content
The price applies to the fine metal content determined by the settlement assay, not to gross weight. The discount and any treatment or refining charges are set out in each purchase contract.
Assay
Settlement assays are carried out by fire assay at an accredited refinery. Samples are split between the parties and an umpire. Where results fall outside the agreed splitting limits, the umpire's assay is final and binding.
Weights
Gross and net bar weights are verified on receipt against the supplier's declaration.
Payment
Payment is made after the settlement assay is confirmed, by bank transfer to the supplier's verified company account. We do not make advance, provisional or cash payments.
Delivery
The delivery point, transfer of risk and shipping terms are agreed in each purchase contract under Incoterms 2020.
